PLUG & PLAY: PRIVATE DEAL FLOWS
Collaboration with our partner, Plug and Play, gives us the opportunity to take advantage of private deal flows in California and Berlin. These enable us to specify the subject area in which startups should be scouted and thus to adjust to the target market as necessary.
A company is designated for which it is proposed to run a private deal flow. Then, together with the company, the NEXT Incubator team firms up the area in which solutions will be sought. The challenge here is not to make the search field too broad or too narrow.
The NEXT Incubator works with the group to identify 5‑7 potential companies from the 20 potential solutions.
PRIVATE DEAL FLOW:
The companies selected pitch their solutions to representatives of NEXT Incubator and the Group. There is the opportunity for face‑to‑face discussion in California and Berlin.
Operational areas are specified. The aim should be to implement new technical solutions within the Group – either by developing a pilot project or by starting to collaborate right away.
Plug and Play approach
Plug and Play scouts for innovative solutions on the basis of the predefined search fields. They deliver around 20 potential solutions and submit them to the NEXT Incubator for detailed evaluation.
Plug and Play does all the organisation for the private deal flow sessions. They invite the selected businesses to pitch, organise time management and prepare the local environment as necessary.
PRIVATE DEAL FLOW:
Plug and Play runs private deal flows both in California and Berlin, providing the environment both for pitch sessions and for clients and companies to meet in person. Both time management and organisational aspects are the responsibility of Plug and Play.
PRIVATE DEAL FLOW – GRIDS
The main areas of focus for a private deal flow are worked out with Energie Steiermark GmbH. A joint visit to California is undertaken to screen between 5 and 7 potential solutions. The following topic areas are specified for 20 potential solutions for preselection by Plug and Play:
